【摘要】:ThisISO/IECstandardforFC-SWspecifiestoolsandalgorithmsforinterconnectionandinitializationofFibreChannelswitchestocreateamulti-switchFibreChannelFabric.ThisStandarddefinesanE_Port("ExpansionPort")thatoperatesinamannersimilartoanN_PortandF_Port,asdefinedinISO/IEC14165-111,withadditionalfunctionalityprovidedforinterconnectingswitches.ThisStandardalsodefineshowportsthatarecapableofbeinganE_Port,F_Port,and/orFL_Portmaydiscoverandself-configurefortheirappropriateoperatingmode.OnceaportestablishesthatitisconnectedtoanotherswitchandisoperatingasanE_Port,anaddressassignmentalgorithmisexecutedtoallocateportaddressesthroughouttheFabric.ThisStandarddoesnotdefinecreditmodelsandmanagementbetweenE_PortsforthevariousClassesofServiceotherthanClassF.Broadcastandmulticastservicesarenotdefined.E_PortsconformingtothisStandardsupportClassF,andalsoClass1,Class2,and/orClass3;supportforotherClassesofServicearenotdefinedbythisStandard.Themethodbywhichroutingofframesisestablishedandeffectedisnotdescribed.
