【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheoperationalandperformancerequirementsforspectroscopy-basedportalmonitorsusedforthedetectionandidentificationofillicittraffickingofradioactivematerial.Spectroscopy-basedportalmonitorshavetheabilitytodetectgammaandneutronradiationandidentifygamma-emittingradionuclidesthatmaybepresentinoronpersons,vehicles,containers,orpackagesinastaticortransientmodeofoperation.Operationalrequirementsestablishedbythisstandardincluderadiationdetectionandgamma-emittingradionuclideidentification,andthoserequirementsassociatedwiththeexpectedelectrical,mechanical,andenvironmentalconditionswhenaportalmonitorisdeployed.Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishperformancerequirementsandtogiveexamplesofacceptabletestmethods,andtospecifygeneralcharacteristics,generaltestconditions,radiationcharacteristics,electricalsafety,andenvironmentalcharacteristicstodetermineifaportalmonitormeetstherequirementsofthisstandard.Specialapplications,whichmayincludeamonitor’soperationunderweatherconditionsorfordetectionneedsnotaddressedbythisstandard,shallrequireadditionaltesting.Obtainingoperatingperformancethatmeetsorexceedsthespecificationsasstatedinthisstandarddependsuponproperlyinstallingthemonitor,establishingappropriateoperatingparameters,providingsecurityforthemonitor,maintainingcalibration,implementingasuitableresponsetestingandmaintenanceprogram,auditingcompliancewithqualityrequirements,andprovidingpropertrainingforoperatingpersonnel.
